Presenter: Lotus K. Williams, HR Business Partner, CertiPay

  • Learn the “how to” if you have never had to conduct a formal investigation.
  • Hone your skills if you have conducted one in the past.

Assess the vulnerability and mitigate the risk for an organization, while equipping the human resources professional and others with the knowledge and tools to conduct an effective, efficient and lawful workplace investigation.

Conducting a Thorough Workplace Investigation, will provide key points for a proactive approach to the following:

  • Setting the foundation to ensure strong policies, procedures, job descriptions and an Employee Handbook exist.
  • Review of the legal obligation to investigate.
  • Preliminary steps in preparing for a workplace investigation.
  • Evidence gathering that is concrete, specific to the who, what, when, where, why and how.
  • How to conduct effective interview(s).
  • Important items to ensure a well-planned, and well-written workplace investigation report and pertinent follow up.
